Airtel Strengthens Market Leadership with Robust Subscriber Growth in Assam

Guwahati :  Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom providers, has reinforced its market leadership with significant subscriber growth  in Assam, according to the latest TRAI Telecom Subscription Data (December 2024).

Airtel continues to dominate the Assam’s telecom market, emerging as the top telecom operator in the state. In December 2024, Airtel added 27,922 new subscribers, taking its total wireless subscriber base in Assam to 11,914,048.Meanwhile, other operators saw a marginal addition in their subscribers.

India’s total wireless subscriber base grew from 1,148.65 million in November 2024 to 1,150.66 million in December 2024, reflecting a monthly growth rate of 0.17%. The country’s wireless tele-density also increased from 81.59% to 81.67%, indicating a steady rise in mobile connectivity.
