Jammu : Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, successfully concluded a five-day Teachers’ Conclave held district-wise from 16th January 2025 to 21st January 2025. It provided a platform for teachers to share their best practices, learnings, and challenges with the broader teaching community. Discussions spanned across key areas including Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), classroom management, co-scholastic domains, academic and subject-specific improvements, and technology integration in education. Each webinar session was moderated by the respective District Nodal Officers (DNOs).

Featuring two sessions each day, the conclave focused on a range of topics including classroom management, academic and subject-specific improvements, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), co-scholastic domains, and the integration of technology in education. Each session was led by a panel of four educators from each participating district and moderated by the respective District Nodal Officers (DNOs). The conclave recorded a total of 8,184 participations, with active involvement from the districts of Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Samba, Kathua, and Ramban.


The Teachers’ Conclave culmination ceremony brought together educators, DNOs (District Nodal Officers), HOIs (Heads of Institutions) and dignitaries for a day of collaboration and recognition. The event featured an engaging panel discussion moderated by Mr. Binu Nair, Chief Programs and Operations, Bharti Airtel Foundation, where teachers shared real classroom outcomes, challenges, and the transformative impact of the program on their practice. Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Director, Directorate of School Education, Jammu, presided the gathering, celebrating the commitment of teachers and the collaborative spirit that made this initiative a success.

Ms. Mamta Saikia, CEO of Bharti Airtel Foundation, addressed the gathering and shared, “The Teachers’ Conclave is a powerful example of how we can build a thriving community of practice among educators. While today marks the culmination of the conclave, it is truly the beginning of a larger movement – led by the pioneers of change present here – who will continue to share their experiences and learning with the wider teaching community. This ripple effect has the potential to transform classrooms and strengthen the future of education.”

The ceremony featured the launch of the Teachers’ Conclave Booklet and the Jammu Channel on TheTeacherApp. A special session on Action Research by Dr. (Prof.) Naresh Kumar Gupta, Retired Professor, NCERT, offered educators valuable insights into the nuances of Action Research in Education and how a well-structured approach can help address critical challenges within the classroom.

All 40 teachers who presented their best practices during the conclave were honoured with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their commitment and active participation. Additionally, DNOs were acknowledged with certificates for their efforts in making the Teachers’ Conclave a success.
