Fortis, Greater Noida organized BLS training in J.P.Aman Society, donated wheelchair
Heart and lungs screening camp was also organized in the hospital campus.
Greater Noida : With an aim to promote community health, Fortis Hospital, Greater Noida organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) training for the residents of J.P. Aman Society, Sector 151, Noida. Dr. Nilesh Prasad, Emergency Medical Officer, Fortis Hospital Greater Noida, conducted the training of BLS on this occasion.
During the training, Dr. Nilesh emphasized on the importance of a healthy heart and said, “A healthy heart is the cornerstone of a long and smooth life. It is essential that we prioritize our heart health through a balanced lifestyle and regular checkups.
He addressed the importance of basic life support training, saying, "Basic life support skills can make a significant difference in an emergency. Knowing how to perform CPR can go a long way in saving someone's life in an emergency."
On this occasion, wheelchairs were also donated by Fortis Greater Noida Hospital for the convenience of the society residents.
Apart from this, a free Heart and Lungs Screening Camp was organized at the campus of Fortis Hospital Greater Noida, in which a large number of people came and took advantage of free testing and consultation.
The free essential check-ups at the camp included blood pressure and random blood sugar checks as well as electrocardiogram (ECG) and pulmonary function test (PFT).
Free consultation was also provided by a cardiologist and pulmonologist (lung specialist) in the camp.
Expressing satisfaction over the success of the programme, Mr. Pramit Mishra, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital Greater Noida, said, “Our aim is to empower the society with accessible health care resources to stay healthy. The screening camp was attended by a large number of people. The overwhelming response we received from the people confirms the importance of such initiatives.”
