MASSH Hospitals Host Month-Long Mega Breast Cancer Screening Camp: Advancing Awareness and Early Detection

New Delhi : On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MASSH Super Specialty Hospitals is organizing a month-long Mega Breast Cancer Screening Camp at its Delhi and Noida facilities. The aim of this camp is to identify early signs of breast cancer in women and guide them towards appropriate treatment in a timely manner.

The camp offers breast cancer screening using advanced technologies such as AI-based Thermography and Sono-mammography (Breast Ultrasound). Along with expert medical consultations, the camp will help women detect breast cancer in its early stages.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in India. However, if detected at an early stage, it can be successfully treated. Regular screening can identify breast cancer at its most treatable stage.

Speaking on the subject, Dr. Sachin Ambekar, Director - Minimal Access Surgery & Medical Director at MASSH, said, "Breast cancer cases are increasing rapidly, but with awareness and regular screening, we can reduce its impact. Early detection not only increases the effectiveness of treatment but also improves their chances of survival. This camp offers women the opportunity for self-examination as well as early detection of breast cancer."

Similarly, Dr. Mrinal Sharma, Head of Department - Laparoscopic Cancer & General Surgery at MASSH MANAS, shared, "Our aim is for as many women as possible to benefit from this camp and take care of their health with awareness. The AI-based thermography and sono-mammography technologies we’re using are non-radiative, non-invasive and painless compared to traditional mammograms. These techniques are suitable for women of any age, especially those who are apprehensive about undergoing traditional mammograms."

This camp by MASSH Super Specialty Hospitals provides women with the opportunity to take a crucial step toward preventing breast cancer. This initiative to raise awareness and promote early detection is a significant stride toward ensuring women's health and safety.
