Phoenix Palassio's Illuminated Diwali Celebrations with "Ashok Vatika" Installation and Cultural Focal Points
This Diwali, Phoenix Palassio dazzled the city with its celebrations featuring the "Ashok Vatika" art installation and two culturally rich focal points that mesmerized visitors. The installation offered an immersive experience that blended Indian mythology, music, and festive joy.
The rising star of Bollywood, Sanya Malhotra, was the guest of honor at the grand launch of the Ashok Vatika installation. Known for her role as Babita Phogat in her debut film Dangal, and her diverse performances in Pagglait and Ludo, Sanya added glamour to the occasion. The main highlight, "Ashok Vatika," transported visitors to the legendary garden from the Ramayana, symbolizing Sita's inner strength during her captivity in Lanka. Inspired by ancient Indian landscapes, the installation served as a powerful reminder of the virtues celebrated during Diwali—resilience, purity, and the triumph of light over darkness. Visitors were captivated by the serene yet striking recreation of this mythical garden, resonating with the festive spirit of Diwali. The two key focal points added depth to the celebration, paying tribute to India’s rich musical heritage.
The Peacock Focal and Ganesha Focal installations at Phoenix Palassio celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Indian music this Diwali. The Peacock Focal features a graceful peacock perched on a tabla, symbolizing the elegance of Indian classical music and the rhythmic tradition of the tabla. Set against a backdrop of intricate Indian art, it evokes a sense of cultural pride and festive joy. The Ganesha Focal, inspired by Lord Ganpati and the Veena, symbolizes auspicious beginnings and the essence of music and wisdom, blending spiritual and artistic traditions to create a vibrant Diwali atmosphere.
Mr. Sanjeev Sarin, Senior Centre Director at Phoenix Mills, remarked, “Diwali at Phoenix Palassio has always been about bringing the community together through art, culture, and celebration. This year’s ‘Ashok Vatika’ installation was especially significant, as it represented resilience, hope, and purity—values that resonate deeply during this festival. We are proud to offer our visitors an experience that honors India’s rich heritage while embracing the festive spirit in such a grand and meaningful way.”
