Respicrit 2025: A Step Towards New Frontiers in Respiratory Medicine and Critical Care
Sanjivini Superspeciality Hospital, Gomti Nagar, in collaboration with S.R. Chest Foundation, successfully organized the annual national conference Respicrit 2025 at Hotel Clarks Avadh, Lucknow. The event brought together leading doctors, specialists, and medical researchers from across the country, focusing on advancements in respiratory medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt (Director, Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute) as the chief guest, along with distinguished guests Dr. Neeraj Bora (MLA, Lucknow) and Dr. Randeep Guleria (Former Director, AIIMS, New Delhi). The event was further graced by eminent medical experts, including Dr. S.N. Gupta, Founder and Organizing Secretary of Sanjivini Superspeciality Hospital, Dr. Mamta Gupta, Co-Organizing Secretary, Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Prof. Suryakant (HOD, Respiratory Medicine, KGMU), and Prof. K.B. Gupta.
With the participation of over 300 medical professionals, the conference featured discussions on lung diseases, critical care advancements, and evolving trends in sleep medicine.
Dr. Randeep Guleria elaborated on “Identification and Treatment of Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)”, sharing insights from challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Deepak Talwar (Metro Hospital, Noida) discussed “Biologics in the Management of Obstructive Airway Diseases”. Dr. Raja Dhar (C.K. Birla Hospital, Kolkata) emphasized advanced ventilation techniques, while Dr. Sharmili Sinha (Bhubaneswar) spoke about emerging challenges in sleep medicine. Prof. Suryakant stressed tuberculosis prevention, explaining that high-risk individuals include smokers, malnourished individuals, HIV-positive patients, and those with vitamin B-12 deficiency. He highlighted the ongoing 100-day special campaign for early TB detection.
Project Umeed – A Lifeline for Senior Citizens
Dr. S.N. Gupta, along with Dr. Abhishek Gupta, expressed gratitude to all guests, experts, and participants for making the event a success. He also introduced Project Umeed, an initiative by Sanjivini Hospital to support senior citizens facing financial difficulties in medical treatment. Under this initiative, elderly patients without reimbursement benefits or financial support receive free services, including doctor’s fees, nursing care, and junior doctor visits. The initiative was widely appreciated by the medical fraternity and attendees.
The conference featured special sessions on advanced ventilation technology, interventional pulmonology, and the latest drug developments for lung diseases. Experts shared their experiences, shaping the future of respiratory medicine and critical care.
