Safety Awareness Week Culminates in Success at Bharwara STP
The Safety Awareness Week at 345 MLD Bharwara Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) concluded on a high note today, marked by the successful engagement and participation of SUEZ employees in a series of safety-centric events and activities.
The week was packed with practical workshops on major risks, mock drills simulating emergency scenarios, and safety sessions tailored to the diverse roles within the facility. Employees took center stage to enact skits and drills, effectively raising awareness about workplace hazards and reinforcing the importance of safety protocols.
The grand finale of the week included a plantation drive and recognition of employees who demonstrated exemplary safety practices. The events underlined the theme of the week, "Demonstrating Leadership for Safety, Environment & Social Commitment," and aimed to fortify the safety culture among the workforce.
Project Director Rajesh Mathpal expressed his pride in the team's achievements: "The enthusiasm and dedication of our employees during Safety Awareness Week have been nothing short of inspiring. It is through their active participation and willingness to lead by example that we reinforce our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards."
Saurabh Yadav, from UP Jal Nigam said “Previously workers were not that aware about Safety but now ever since Suez has come, workers are so sensitised they stop work if they don’t have proper safety equipment, we are very happy to see this change”
The week's events were designed not only to educate but also to celebrate the collective effort to maintain and enhance safety measures. Bharwara STP looks forward to continuing these efforts throughout the year, with a firm belief that safety is integral to the wellbeing of its employees and the community at large.
