SUEZ held a cautionary “Zero Fatal & Severe Accident Objective” workshop in Zone 6, LMC, Balaganj for its workers
Suez India, following its internal IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials which are also in line with Swachhta Survekshan, took a workshop for reiterating “No Manual Scavenging & Zero Fatal Accident Objective” to its workers in Balaganj, Zone 6, Jal Kal Department of Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
Rajesh Mathpal, Project Director One City One Operator , Lucknow Project, UP Government, reinforced his co-workers to never let any worker violate Safety norms and Life Saving Rules inducted by Suez and encouraged workers to dissuade public to throw garbage in open drains and manholes as it chokes sewers in narrow lanes of Old Lucknow. Over 100 sewer cleaning workers took Safety Oath to never enter Manhole and put their life at risk and their family in distress of losing them due to Fatal Accident.
“We must ensure Safety of our workers and follow the Mantra of I am my colleagues keeper, their Angrakshak and all workers should keep this in mind that manual scavenging is a punishable offence and never let anyone force you to violate any Safety norm” said Mr Rajesh Mathpal.
Suez staff participated in the ‘No Manual Scavenging workshop’ in Zone 6, among the participants, Suez Safety In-charge Pankaj Singh, HR Manager Ishan Sharma and Public Relations Manager Akshat Saxena were present alongwith Mr. Ashwani Dogra, Operations Head and Mr. Tanveer Sharma, Network Manager.
