SUEZ India and Traffic Department collaborate : A great example of road safety and sewer management

SUEZ India, which manages the sewage in the city, and the Traffic Department have established better coordination to ensure that sewer cleaning work is done safely and smoothly in high traffic areas.

Rajesh Mathpal Project Director, SUEZ India said, "We are taking care of major parts of Lucknow's sewage system, for which we have to work on the roads day and night. Working on the road is risky, but we are committed to make it safe. In this sequence, we have organized Road Safety Week from 13th to 18th January. During this time we will motivate all stakeholders to follow road safety, traffic rules, SUEZ HSE standards, and zero tolerance life saving rules."

Pramesh Pathak, Traffic Inspector, Traffic Department said, "Safe traffic and safety of road workers is our priority. To facilitate the work of Suez India, we have planned traffic diversions on busy roads and provided alternate routes during sewer cleaning. This not only avoids traffic disruptions but also ensures the safety of road workers."

During Road Safety Week, Suez India made road workers, traffic police and employees of other related departments aware about the HSE standards and life saving rules to be followed. This coordination between Suez India and Traffic Department is not only making sewer cleaning operations faster and safer but also providing relief to the city residents. This initiative not only promotes efficiency but is an important step towards ensuring a safe and clean environment for the city residents.
