UPITEX Showcases Uttar Pradesh's Potential as Investment Hub

Lucknow: The five-day Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX), organized by PHDCCI, concluded on a high note, promising to usher in a new era of economic prosperity for the state. The event, hosted at the esteemed Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow from January 25th to 29th, witnessed an impressive footfall of over 1.25 lakh visitors, garnering significant attention.
 
On the concluding day, Mr. Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Minister of State for Sugarcane Development and Sugar Mills, Government of Uttar Pradesh, graced UPITEX. In his statement, he underscored the pivotal role of industries in the state's economic development, emphasizing that Uttar Pradesh is the soul of India. Minister Gangwar highlighted the conducive environment for industries created by the governments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, predicting the state's economy to reach 1 trillion dollars by 2027.
 
UPITEX aimed to showcase Uttar Pradesh's products and establish it as a favored investment destination, drawing attention from more than 300 exhibitors globally. The expo resulted in business inquiries exceeding Rs. 300 crores, indicating substantial economic impact and future growth potential.
 
Expressing satisfaction with the event's outcomes, Shri Atul Srivastava, Regional Director, UP state chapter, PHDCCI, said, "The overwhelming response and substantial footfall at UPITEX 2024 showcase the immense potential Uttar Pradesh holds. It has been a collaborative effort, and together, we are paving the way for the state's economic transformation. The third edition of UPITEX 2025 will take place from 23rd January to 27th January 2025."
 
Leaders from various sectors echoed similar sentiments. Shri L K Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, KM Sugar Mills, remarked, "UPITEX has proven to be a significant platform for businesses. The impressive footfall and the generated business inquiries underscore the expo's role in fostering economic growth."
